Region - There were a total of nine accidents on both sides of the A95 last Saturday.

According to the police, the cause is always the same: driving too fast.

Between 7:50 am and 7:20 pm there were nine traffic accidents due to aquaplaning on the autobahn between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Munich on Saturday (August 28).

Two of the accidents occurred at Großweil.

A 33-year-old from Pfaffenhofen came off the road in his Alfa Romeo due to improper speed.

It collided with the right guard rail in the direction of Garmisch.

According to the Weilheim traffic police, the 33-year-old was unharmed.

The crash barrier, however, did not remain intact: 28 meters of the guidance system were destroyed, and property damage amounted to 31,000 euros.

Porsche crashes into the guardrail

Just five minutes after the Alfa Romeo, a Porsche crashed into the crash barriers in the Großweil area of the A95.

The 35-year-old from Nuremberg was also traveling too fast, according to the police.

12 meters of guardrail were destroyed in the accident, the driver was uninjured.

The property damage is around 20,000 euros.

Tips from the police:

· The most important and decisive thing is speed.

If the road is wet, the most important thing is to drive slowly!

· The tires on the vehicle are also decisive.

If I have tires with less tread depth, this means that I have to drive even more slowly so as not to lose contact with the road (otherwise the tires will “float”).

· In particularly dangerous places (eg ruts, curves, swings (the incline of the lane changes from one side to the other) a speed reduction is indicated. Most of the time it says "80 when wet". Pay attention to these signs!

If it does happen:

· Keep calm - do not steer !, do not accelerate!

Don't brake!

Take off the gas and, if possible, let it roll until the dangerous situation is over.

What else is important:

· Keep an eye on the sky and clouds.

Drive towards a "black wall", or if it comes from the side - down from the gas.

· Watch the vehicles in front of you.

With spray (whirled up water) - get off the gas.

· Turn on the lights

· Switch on the windscreen wipers

There were nine aquaplaning accidents on the A95 within 12 hours.

According to the police, the total damage is around 162,000 euros.

Nobody was seriously injured.

There were traffic jams and delays due to the accidents.

The police also pointed out that all those responsible for the accident were male and between 23 and 40 years old.
