Archbishop emeritus of Caracas, hospitalized in ICU for covid-19

Cardinal Jorge Urosa, archbishop emeritus of Caracas, is hospitalized in an intensive care unit of a clinic in the Venezuelan capital after testing positive for covid-19.

The Archdiocese of Caracas reported this Monday in a statement that his condition remains stable, although it is very delicate.

“We invite the archdiocesan community and the entire population to unite in prayer, through the intercession of María Santísima de Coromoto and Blessed Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, asking for the prompt and complete recovery of our Archbishop Emeritus and of all the people afflicted by this pandemic, "the statement concluded.

Until Sunday, the government of the questioned President Nicolás Maduro reported 333,125 cases of covid-19 and 3,998 deaths associated with the disease in Venezuela.
