Baden-Württemberg is planning new corona regulation for unvaccinated people

The state government wants to pass a new corona regulation in the coming week to regulate the restrictions for unvaccinated people.

According to SWR, a corona traffic light system is planned.

According to the Ministry of Social Affairs, this should depend on the number of corona patients in the intensive care units.

If the traffic light is green, the usual 3G rule should apply in Baden-Württemberg.

If it jumps to yellow, people who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered are threatened with stricter contact restrictions in their private lives.

If the traffic light is red (300 corona patients in intensive care units), there should be a 2G rule for restaurants and concerts, for example.

Accordingly, unvaccinated people would no longer have access.

Pregnant women should not be affected by the stricter regulations.

The new model met with approval.

“If it hits the intensive care units, you have to act.

It would be wrong then to hold everyone jointly liable, including those who have been vaccinated.

That is why there will be different rules for those who have not been vaccinated than for those who have been vaccinated, ”says Baden-Württemberg's head of state Thomas Strobl (CDU) to Bild am Sonntag (Bams).

Lauterbach and Kubicki criticize the planned Corona regulation

Bavaria's Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) says in Bams: “Of course we have to think about future measures now, such as contact restrictions, which then have to come into force in order to protect the health system.

What is clear, however, is that those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered must regain their rights to freedom. "

Karl Lauterbach *, on the other hand, considers the plans from Baden-Württemberg to be exaggerated.

However, the SPD health expert prefers the Hamburg model.

“The proposal from Baden-Württemberg is more stringent because it also interferes with private life.

We should only do that if the Hamburg variant is not enough, ”says Lauterbach in Bams.

Wolfgang Kubicki (FDP) finds much tougher words.

He thinks the plans are unconstitutional.

In his opinion, there are certainly milder means than the "threatened measures of blanket contact restrictions for unvaccinated people".
