The Bavarian flood intelligence service reported on Monday that embankments and floods of reporting levels one and two were possible on individual rivers in Upper Bavaria.
At the Isar gauge in Munich and the Mangfall measuring point in Rosenheim, the first of four flood reporting levels can be expected to be exceeded.
Due to the expected rainfall, “the flood situation will continue to widen, especially in south-eastern Bavaria.
"
On Tuesday evening, the situation should relax significantly again, said the DWD expert.
“The low over Eastern Europe then pulls away.” From the night to Wednesday, it should be dry again in the region.
