Geretsried - Bad news for Commerzbank customers: The group will close the branch at Egerlandstrasse 44 on October 19.

This includes the abandonment of a total of 190 branches and downsizing. The branch in Geretsried is currently "closed due to corona without employees", press spokesman Thomas Kleyboldt said when asked. The consultants would look after around 3500 Geretsried customers from the Starnberg station square. The Commerzbank team in Tölzer Marktstrasse is also available. It will continue like this when the Geretsried branch has finally closed. Customers can also do their daily banking "quickly, conveniently and digitally around the clock, regardless of whether they are sitting on the sofa or on the go," says Kleyboldt. According to a customer announcement, cash is available from banks that cooperate with Commerzbank and from participating retailers.
Kleyboldt emphasizes that the Commerzbank strategy is not about closing branches. “It's about a future-proof branch network and a completely new business model that is geared to the needs of our customers.” When making the selection, one looked at which offers and services our customers use how often at which locations.
