The police have carried out some 179,000 checks and 1,331 verbalizations since the entry into force of the health pass on June 9, we learned on Monday from a source close to the case, confirming RTL information.

These figures come from a note drafted by the Monitoring Center of the Ministry of the Interior, said this source, and list the checks carried out by both the gendarmes and the police.
Sanctions in the event of an invalid pass
Failure to present a valid pass is punishable by a fine of at least 135 euros.
If the offense is committed at least three times within 30 days, the penalty can be up to 6 months imprisonment and a fine of 3,750 euros.

A person using the pass of a relative incurs a fine of 750 euros (fixed at 135 euros if it is settled quickly), an amount which reaches 1,500 euros in the event of a repeat offense within 15 days.
The health pass - complete vaccination certificate, negative test of less than 72 hours, certificate of cure against Covid-19 - was made compulsory from June 9 in certain places bringing together more than 1,000 people (stadiums, exhibitions, fairs, festivals , casinos).
Since July 21, it has been extended to places hosting more than 50 people (culture, leisure, sports, exhibitions, etc.). Since August 9, it conditions access to hospitals except emergencies, bars and restaurants and large shopping centers by prefectural decision. Since Monday, it has been imposed on the employees of the places concerned. Its application is scheduled to last at least until November 15.
