Iffeldorf - Big back of chairs in Iffeldorf: The fire brigade has elected a completely new board of directors.
Because of the Corona compulsory break: For the volunteers of the Iffeldorfer fire brigade, the past year 2020 was an eventful one.
Commander Matthias Ott reported at the meeting about a busy and intensive year with 66 alarms.
Tasks that the military had to face due to the pandemic were also tackled.
The own restrictions have been coped with well.
Some of the failed exercises could be made up for in the summer and will be resumed this year, says Maxi Scheuerer, who is responsible for public relations.
Michael Skusa now chairman
After the greetings from District Fire Councilor Rüdiger Sobbota, there was a change in leadership at the top of the association: "The entire board was newly appointed," said Scheuerer. Michael Skusa was elected as chairman and Felix Huber as his deputy. Stefan Goldbrunner and Michael Berchtold are now treasurers and secretaries, respectively. Long-term chairman Hubert Kroiss and his deputy Wolfgang Bronner resigned from their offices after many years. The former mayor Kroiss was the commandant from 1992 to 2004 and has been in charge of the association since 2009. Brno had also been a runner-up for twelve years. The two now take care of the group, who are also retired from the fire service. "With the young and new board of directors, a breath of fresh air should now come into the work of the association",reports fire department spokesman Scheuerer - there are already some ideas, the board announced on the evening of the meeting.
Promotions and Honors
Finally, there were promotions and honors at the Iffeldorfer Wehr. Justin Meier and Christian Quint were appointed firefighters.
Bernhard Bauer and Matthias Klier became the senior firefighters.
Commandant Ott promoted Christian Gleixner and Felix Huber to chief firefighter.
The fire-fighting master is now Michael Skusa and Thorsten Pahlen is now the head fire-fighting master.
With the honors, the Wehr thanked the voluntary fire brigade for many years of commitment.
Jakob Huber and Johann Schweiger were honored for 40 years of active service.
Markus Schneller received the award for 20 years of fire service and Simon Welzmüller, Mark Nolden and Thomas Bronner for ten years.
