About a week ago, Tzafir revealed that her daughter Shira is a close friend of Barel.
She said that they recognized the Derech Eretz preparatory school in Ashalim and became soulmates.
She also said that Barel slept in their house many times and that they had conversations into the night.
Shira, Tzafir added, has not moved from Barel's bed in the hospital since he was shot on the Gaza border about ten days ago.
Today Barel passed away after a struggle for his life.
