Munich had exceeded the incidence of 50 for the third time in a row on Tuesday.

From today, stricter corona rules apply - an overview.

Munich - On Tuesday, Munich * exceeded the seven-day incidence * of 50 for the third time in a row. That means: Stricter Corona * rules.

These come into force two days later - on Thursday (August 26th).

But what exactly is changing?

An overview.

Corona rules in Munich are tightened: This applies to contacts

  • From August 26th:

Private meetings are possible for members of your own household and two other households - a maximum of ten people (not including children under 14).

  • Previously,

private meetings are possible for a maximum of ten people, the number of households does not matter.

Anyone who has been fully vaccinated against Corona * or has recovered is not subject to the regulations of the contact restriction.

"In private meetings in which vaccinated or recovered people as well as other people take part, vaccinated and recovered people are not taken into account when determining the number of participants," writes the City of Munich on its website.

  • So far:

private events are allowed outdoors with 100 people, inside with 50 people.

Those who have been vaccinated or recovered are not counted even at private parties.

The same number of people applies to public events, but here including vaccinated or recovered people.

Rising corona numbers - the 3G rule has been in effect in Bavaria since Monday

The 3G rule has also been in effect in Bavaria since Monday (23 August).

If the incidence is above 35, access to certain items is only possible for those who have been vaccinated, those who have recovered or who have been tested.

This continues to apply, as the city of Munich explains.

With the 3G rule, only those who have been tested, vaccinated or recovered have access in the Bavarian capital

  • public and private events for special occasions in closed rooms

  • for indoor catering

  • for indoor sports and cultural events in theaters, operas, concert halls, stages and cinemas, provided they take place in closed rooms

  • for offers in closed rooms of amusement parks, indoor playgrounds and comparable fixed leisure facilities, bathing establishments, hotel swimming pools, thermal baths, wellness centers, saunas, amusement arcades, casinos and betting points

  • and in body-hugging services such as hairdressers and nail salons

Criticism of the new regulation came from the opposition.

"The government has once again overshot its target," said Matthias Fischbach, the parliamentary manager of the FDP.

50s incidence before the end?

Ministry of Health should bring changes to the Infection Protection Act on the way

Soon the 50s incidence will no longer play a decisive role in the corona measures.

Instead, according to reports, the value should drop out of the German Infection Protection Act (Paragraph 28a).

The Ministry of Health should quickly bring about a corresponding amendment to the Infection Protection Act.

This should be decided by the cabinet before the general election.

People who are then vaccinated against Corona or who have already had the disease (recovered) should no longer have to accept any serious restrictions regardless of the development of the incidence.

Rather, the new yardstick is the hospitalization rate.
