Kabul - According to a media report, there has been a rocket attack in the Afghan capital Kabul.

On Monday morning (local time), several rockets were fired in the direction of the airport from the Khairhanah area in the north of the city, wrote the local TV station ToloNews, citing eyewitnesses on Twitter.

CNN, citing US government officials, reported that at least five rockets had been fired in the direction of the airport.

Initially, there was no information about possible victims or damage.

The airport has a missile defense system.

This was only tested a few weeks ago.

Videos were shared on social media allegedly showing a burning car from which the rockets are said to have been fired.
