The Israeli delegation to the Paralympic Games continues to make us very proud.
This morning (Sunday) in Tokyo, Ami Daddown and Mark Mellier qualified for the finals in swimming, and they will compete for a medal later in the day.
Ami Daddown
advanced to the 200m freestyle final from first place in the qualifiers with a time of 2:56:66 min.
Daddown is the world champion in this ointment.
Ariel Mellier
finished in 13th place (out of 15) and did not qualify for the final.
Mark Mellier
advanced to the 100m backstroke final from fourth place overall after setting a time of 1: 11.92 minutes, and is also in the medal picture.
The finals will be held starting at 11:00, Israel time.
Veronica Girenko
finished the 100-meter freestyle in a time of 2.37:00 minutes in 11th place overall, and did not qualify for the final.
