The 2023 World Cup qualifiers will take place tomorrow (Tuesday, 13:00), with the championship taking place for the first time in three countries - Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan.
According to the qualifying method, the team will be drawn for one of the eight houses that will have four groups each, with the goal of finishing in one of the first three places that give the aliyah to another house, where the immigrants will unite with three more immigrants from the corresponding house.
In the second stage the teams will play against the three they did not meet in the early house and eventually the first three from the second house will advance to the championship.
This qualifying campaign will also take place using the windows method, with the first window taking place this November, followed by February 2022, June 2022, August 2022 (a few days before Eurobasket), November 2022 and February 2023.
Israel is ranked in the sixth quality group and will not be able to meet the United Kingdom, Bosnia and the Netherlands.
It was drawn with one tier 2 team (Italy, Lithuania, Greece, Germany), one tier team 3 (Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Turkey) and one tier 7 team (Iceland, Estonia, Bulgaria, Belarus).
