The ZDF announced this in an official statement.
Keller died on Friday, August 27th.

Heide Keller played the chief stewardess Beatrice in the ZDF series "Das Traumschiff" for almost 40 years.

“Heide Keller has made television history. In the role of head hostess Beatrice, she was the good spirit on board the 'dream ship' for 38 years - a record. No other actress has played a comparable role in a series for so long. She also wrote the script herself, developed her character further and made her a German cult figure. We will miss it very much, ”said Heike Hempel, deputy ZDF program director and head of the ZDF main editorial department for TV film / Series II.
Heide Keller has been on board in her role as head hostess Beatrice since the first episode of the ZDF cult series in 1989.
After completing her acting training, Keller first played on several theater stages until she finally made it onto television.
But she was not only a permanent member of the “Traumschiff”, she also worked behind the scenes on the ZDF series and even wrote several scripts under the pseudonym “Jacques Dueppen”.
Her last appearance was in the 80th episode “Los Angeles” in 2018. She left the series at her own request.
