The reopening of the VIP Vaccination case opened a new question about the situation of Carla Vizzotti's parents, who were denounced for having been inoculated, allegedly in an irregular manner.
Although the prosecutor Eduardo Taiano had rejected the existence of a crime, the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber ordered Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti to
re-investigate,
questioning the established categories under which she had ordered the partial file.
Now, a new scenario is opening in which "the minister's parents must be analyzed again," judicial sources told
Clarín.
The decision will be left to the judge mainly because the prosecutor Eduardo Taiano had dismissed the complaint and therefore did not give impetus to research.
To the new possible investigation on the inoculation of Vizzotti's parents are added the explanations that the minister gave a week ago on channel A24.
As she said, her father - who is a retired doctor but is currently active - was signed up by a friend to get inoculated.
“My father was written down by a friend, if you see that they called him as health personnel but they called him quite late.
The same Thursday that they were vaccinated in the Ministry of Health, which is a great bad luck ”.
But the doubts were generated when he told how his mother was inoculated, who had accompanied her husband to be vaccinated. As he recognized that day did not correspond to him.
"The person who vaccinated my father told him that it was the first time he had vaccinated, if he did not mind having a photo taken and my father said no and that if he wanted to practice, to vaccinate my mother who was over 70 years and as there was no one and as it happens in a lot of places, they gave him the vaccine ”.

This testimony must be analyzed by the Justice.
The chambermaids Pablo Bertuzzi, Leopoldo Bruglia and Mariano Llorens, when they ordered the reopening of the VIP vaccination case,
asked to be investigated which people were vaccinated according to the standards imposed by the Vaccination Plan and “who came forward for some benefit that was unique to them.
Research should focus on the latter ”.
That measure could fit the situation of Vizzotti's parents according to judicial sources.
The prosecutor Taiano, when he gave up investigating, considered that the age of the vaccinated was key since some privileged inoculates could be from risk groups, but the chambermaids argued that this criterion should be reinterpreted.
"It happens that the resolution put into debate that category on the basis of which the non-existence of the crime had been considered," sources in the case explained to Clarín.
Vizzotti's parents' vaccination
The chronology that the Justice put together determined that the parents of the official were vaccinated against the coronavirus one day before the scandal broke out over the VIP vaccination that led to the resignation of Ginés González García, Vizzoti's predecessor and until then boss direct.
They are Carlos Alberto Vizzotti, a 77-year-old retired doctor, and his wife, Silvia Manteca Acosta, a 74-year-old housewife. The minister's parents agreed to the vaccination on Thursday, February 18, at a school in Ingeniero Maschwitz, part of Escobar.
The event occurred on the first day authorized for the vaccination of older adults in the Province of Buenos Aires
and hours before the journalist Horacio Verbitsky confessed that he had agreed to the immunization in an office of the Ministry of Health.
The Vizzotti vaccination was registered in the Argentine Integrated Health Information System
(known by its acronym, SISA).
From the Government, on that occasion, they indicated that the Minister's parents requested a turn "like any other citizen and were summoned to be vaccinated like other older adults in the same circumstances."
According to the SISA registry, Vizzotti's father is listed as "health personnel".
Although he is a doctor, he is retired. Carlos Vizzotti was part of the board of the Fundación Isalud, the sanitary think tank created by González García. Until 2019 he was listed as assistant treasurer. His wife was recorded in the registry
as "over 60 years old" although the information took time to be uploaded.
