Actually, the heavy rain had already subsided.

But the subject of floods is now acute in the Miesbach district.

The levels of Schliersee and Tegernsee rise.

District

- While the precipitation in the north of the Miesbach district has already decreased significantly in the course of Monday, the clouds from the north are pressed against the Alps and literally squeezed out.

The consequences of the so-called congestion can be seen on the maps of the flood intelligence service Bavaria.

Especially at the Obere Firstalm and Kreuth-Glashütte stations, a lot of rain fell from the sky overnight.

At the Firstalm it was almost 40 liters per square meter in 24 hours, at Glashütte 37 liters.

The consequences can now be seen on Tuesday - more or less time-shifted - at the lakes.

At 1 p.m., the Schliersee reached flood level one (777.28 m above sea level), the level of the Tegernsee at 726.19 m above sea level is two centimeters below this mark.

The rivers, on the other hand, remain inconspicuous - as they did on Monday.

Only the Schlierach had almost reached reporting level one (110 centimeters) at 109 centimeters on Monday afternoon, but quickly fell again after this peak.

So far, no major flooding due to the flood situation

At the moment, however, there has probably not been any major expansions, and a look at the rain radar and the forecasts of the weather services give hope that the precipitation will finally decrease right on the edge of the Alps.
