35,000 thousand square meters of road and 10,000 tons of asphalt: the section between Fraunberg and Hienraching has been inaugurated
Fraunberg - From now on there is free travel again on the district road ED1. The 5.5 kilometer section between Fraunberg and Hienraching was rehabilitated in a record time of just one month. Now the county road has officially been reopened for road traffic.
"I am pleased that the district of Erding and its decision-makers are sending a clear signal in road and cycle path construction for road safety and good maintenance," says District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer, "it was the district councilors who cleared the way for the renovation with their resolution and had set 1,450,000 euros in the budget for it. "
The total construction costs including administration costs have almost halved to 770,000 euros, "we need such construction sites more often," reports Bayerstorfer. The section that has been renewed lies between the St2082 and the ED26. Of these 5.5 kilometers, around five kilometers are in the Fraunberg area and half a kilometer in the Steinkirchen area.
Fraunberg's mayor, Hans Wiesmaier, therefore spoke in his greetings for the 500 meters on Steinkirchner Flur: "I think that it is good that we here in the Erding district work with foresight, plan and take care of our roads in a timely and up-to-date manner."
In addition, the Fraunhofer community chief suggested that roads should also be built according to their actual condition. By this he meant the state road 2082 from Riding to Wartenberg, which had not been worthy of the title state road for decades. “A month ago the ED1 still had cracks and patches. Now we are looking forward to a better and safer road. We milled the old asphalt nine centimeters deep over a length of 5.5 kilometers and renewed it with an eight centimeter thick and four centimeter surface layer, ”explains Hans-Jörg Oelschlegel, Head of Road Construction at the Freising Road Construction Office.
The road has been open to traffic for a week. In addition, one kilometer of grass pavers and shoulder fastenings were installed along the entire route, which will save maintenance costs in the future. A total of 35,000 square meters of road had been worked on and 10,000 tons of asphalt were paved in just six days, reports site manager Christian Holbl proudly. Only a few jobs, such as edge marking, now have to be carried out. - to
