Gerardo Martínez was one of the priests of the CGT who met with Alberto Fernández at the Casa Rosada.

But at the end of the meeting, the construction unionist was consulted about the

power

of Juan Pablo "Pata" Medina, the former head of the branch of that union in La Plata who

returned to house arrest

for his public reappearance.

To the national head of the UOCRA, this issue

"surpasses him as a union leader

,

"

as he revealed, before the consultation of journalists accredited in the Government House, among them, those of

Clarín

.

"It is within the framework of Justice, it surpasses me as a union leader, it

is a matter of Justice

. I have no opinion," Martínez excused himself before the journalistic request.

Medina

was prohibited from union activity

in the UOCRA -which Martínez controls at the national level- as part of the jury bond that the Justice had imposed on him, in the case that is investigating him for

illicit association, aggravated coercion and extortion

for which he is detained .

"Justice must proceed, I am left out of any analysis. In itself

we deplore, reject, repudiate ...

Justice has to act accordingly, it is very difficult for us to accept such situations,

whether the video is true or false

", Martinez added.

He was referring to an

intimidating video

that circulated on networks in which alleged union activists who would respond to him threatened judges and prosecutors who are investigating Medina.

Last week, "Pata" Medina put together a union act that he tried to disguise as a politician -because of his association with a local Front de Todos stamp-.

That show of force in the union intern that he maintains with Iván Tobar, was interpreted by the Justice as a violation of his conditions for release.

Thus, this Friday, the Federal Criminal Justice of La Plata revoked the benefit and forced "Pata" Medina

and his son Cristian "Puly" Medina

to return to house arrest with

magnetic bracelet

control

.

Medina, debut and farewell

The "Pata" Medina will

not be able to move from his house in Ensenada

, in the neighborhood of Villa del Plata, Punta Lara.

He will have to remain there pending the oral trial for the crimes he is accused of for the complaints of

tightening

of

La Plata businessmen

in construction works and various union mismanagements.

The union's release lasted

exactly eight months

.

Before, he was in the Ezeiza prison.

There he stayed for more than three years.

This procedural condition, without a conviction, forced the release under oath not to carry out union activities.

But Medina chose not to comply with that condition and mounted an act where he demonstrated his power and challenged the Justice, which took note: they summoned him to testify and took away the benefit.

The act organized by the "Pata" Medina in La Plata ended up taking him back to house arrest.

Gerardo Martínez, at the national level, has

not been in communion

with Medina

for years

, whose methodologies were exposed in journalistic reports and surveyed from the La Plata quartermaster, led by Julio Garro.

So much so that Medina was the example of bad unionism beloved of the former governor of Buenos Aires -and current candidate in the City for Together for Change- María Eugenia Vidal.
