A total of 263 craft apprentices will start their apprenticeship in the Fürstenfeldbruck district on Wednesday.
That is twelve more than last year.

- “Our craft businesses offer all interested young people prospects in one of around 130 apprenticeships. We are pleased that many apprentices are starting their careers with the craft again, ”explains district master craftsman Franz Höfelsauer. Qualified young people ensure the continued existence of the company in the medium and long term and thus economic diversity, says Franz Xaver Peteranderl, President of the Chamber of Crafts. Well-trained craftsmen would play an important role in solving major societal challenges such as climate protection. The "Secure training places" program, which has been improved by the federal government, creates additional incentives to create apprenticeships, continues Peteranderl.
After a year with almost no training fairs and events for career orientation, individual advice is more important than ever, the Chamber of Crafts announced.
Together with guilds and professional associations, students and parents would be supported.
Höfelsauer and Peteranderl expect a strong follow-up placement in autumn this year in particular: "Apprenticeship contracts can be concluded long after the beginning of the training year," both assure.
The Chamber President sums up: “A completed apprenticeship in the craft lays the foundation for further career steps up to a Bachelor Professional or Master Professional. You can become self-employed at an early age or start studying with an apprenticeship and subsequent professional experience or the master craftsman's examination. ”Most of the training contracts were concluded this year in the professions of motor vehicle mechatronics technician, electronics technician and system mechanic.
