Mindelheim - fresh and highly motivated, a local group of the ADFC, the General German Bicycle Club, was recently founded in Mindelheim.
The 16 founding members want to make cycling in the eastern Unterallgäu public and will in future invite you to bike tours through the region and to events to give the bike more space in traffic.
Simone Kühn, climate protection manager and bicycle traffic officer of the city of Mindelheim, had pointed out at the first meeting before the association was founded that the city was striving to be recognized as a bicycle-friendly municipality and that its own local ADFC group could become an important player for the city.
The foundation of the association has been official since August.
"First and foremost is the joy of cycling," emphasizes Mathias Richter, the new spokesman for the local group.
Together with Wolfgang Schapals, he wants to organize tours and excursions.
In order to make bicycles more attractive across the bank, the ADFC is also working on site to ensure that the infrastructure, especially cycle paths and crossings, are made safer and that the existing rights of pedestrian and bicycle traffic are implemented.
At the first official meeting in the Kulturfabrik Mindelheim, events were also planned for the task areas. The fact that the first tour will take place

around Mindelheim . The meeting point is the MN bus station at Deutsche Post at 6 p.m. Via Apfeltrach, Hartenthal, Schlingen and Bad Wörishofen it goes to Rammingen with a stop at the Gasthof Stern.
