Russia's Energia Aerospace Corporation plans to design a multi-use space truck based on the promising future manned Oryol spacecraft.

Russia Today website quoted the chief designer of the company, Hero of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Solovyov, as saying in a statement that "the truck will be used more than once and will replace the Progress cargo vehicles, which are currently performing the tasks of transporting the payload to the International Space Station and providing it with all its requirements."

It is noteworthy that the former Oryol Federatsya spacecraft is being manufactured within the framework of the Russian lunar program and is expected to make its first unmanned flight on December 15, 2023 after its launch from the Russian Vostochny Cosmodrome.

He also plans to use the 6-astronaut Oriole for manned and unmanned flights to the Moon.
