According to the source, the loan facility provided to the Palestinian Authority consists of the advance of the settlement funds, funds collected by the State of Israel for the PA under the Oslo Accords.

A security source this evening (Tuesday) referred to a loan that the State of Israel will transfer to the Palestinian Authority, and said that these are some of the facilitations agreed upon this week by Defense Minister Bnei Gantz and PA Chairman Abu Mazen.

According to the message received from the source, the loan framework provided to the Authority consists of the advance of the settlement funds of the Palestinian Authority, funds collected by the State of Israel for the Authority under the Oslo Accords.

He emphasized that the source of the loan is not from the public coffers in Israel.

On Sunday, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz met with Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen in Ramallah, in the first official meeting of a senior minister with the PA chairman since 2010. The two discussed security and civil-economic issues, and the bilateral relations between Israel and the PA.

Among the confidence-building measures agreed between the parties: regulating the humanitarian status of thousands of people staying in the area without documentation, people who came from Gaza and other visitors, and beyond digital VAT accounting - any Palestinian business purchased from the State of Israel will do so digitally. Improperness will result in proper collection.
