National program to open the school year during the Corona: The
Ministry of Education announced today (Tuesday), with the approval of the regulations by the Corona Cabinet, the full plan, according to which, the studies will take place in accordance with the basic principles physically, continuously and fully - to give Israeli students stability, certainty and routine .
Studying within schools and kindergartens will allow students to reduce the learning gaps they have accumulated, and the emotional and social difficulties they have experienced throughout the Corona over the past year and a half.
In addition, the program is based on giving principals flexibility in choosing how to reduce student contact, and on several layers of protection (prevention, detection and control measures) that will ensure the health and well-being of students and educators.
The regulations will take effect tomorrow (Wednesday, 1.9).

The school year will be conducted in accordance with the following study format:
In green / yellow / orange localities:
Kindergartens, daycare centers and grades 1-2 will hold full-time learning according to the regular schedule, all days of the week.
In red localities:
In kindergartens, grades 1-4 and afternoons: learning will be conducted as usual, within the framework.
In grades 5-7: Learning will continue while taking action to "reduce contacts" (in orange and red localities).
Meaning: Schools can choose, for example, to study in a group format, in an open space or in another format.
Grades 8-12: Will move to open-space learning or distance learning, if the mother class has less than 70% isolation exemptions. If the class has more than 70% isolation exemptions - they will continue to study physically, in frameworks.
Method of calculation 70% isolation exemption: This calculation includes recovering students, vaccinated with a second vaccine and positive on serological examination, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
At the same time, during the month of September, students who received a first dose of vaccine will also be included in the required quorum (70%), but this does not give them an exemption from isolation in case of contact with verified.
Students in personal integration in regular education: will study as much as the rest of the class.
Special education and dropout and at-risk youth: will continue to study as usual in frameworks.
Display of a green mark or a negative test result in schools and kindergartens:
All visitors to kindergartens and schools, including teaching staff, outside operators and parents, will present a green mark or a negative test result at the entrance, except for students studying there.
It should be noted that only the result of a rapid test (antigen) performed at a test station, and has a certificate from the Ministry of Health (via verification or barcode) - will be accepted.
Any of those listed above who will not present a test - will not enter the kindergarten or school.
A teaching employee who chooses not to be vaccinated or to present a test will not enter either.
Parents during the adjustment period only:
During the adjustment period to the new framework: During the first seven days of the student in kindergarten or school, a parent will be allowed to accompany his child only in an open area of the kindergarten or school (in the yard, for example), even if he has no green mark or negative test result.
Pupils:
On the first day of school (1.9), the teachers will collect from the children in the class or kindergarten the parents' confirmations of a negative result in the quick home examination.
As you may recall, just two days ago, 124,000 students were reported to be in solitary confinement - only three days before the start of the school year.
