The National Electoral Directorate (DINE) recommended

verifying the voting place

in the register, facing the STEP of September 12, since

one in four Argentines

will change their establishment with respect to the last elections of 2019.

The substantial changes in the registry were made by virtue of

the sanitary protocol

that will be used both in the September PASO and in the legislative elections to be held on November 14.

The positive:

the place and table designated for the Primaries will be the same that will be repeated in November for the legislative ones.

These modifications arise from the epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus and the need to avoid crowds in the establishments where the vote is cast.

The variants were reported by the head of the National Electoral Directorate (DINE),

Diana Quiodo

, in a statement issued by the Ministry of the Interior.

To clear up all doubts, there are two government websites to know the place and voting station:

www.padron.gob.ar

or

www.argentina.gob.ar/elecciones

.

"It is very important to verify the voting places, since we are very used to attending where we always had to vote, and we believe that this situation did not undergo modifications, but in this very special context of pandemic

relocations

were

generated

," explained the official.

In this regard, he pointed out that the Electoral Justice "put a limit of

eight tables per establishment

, so that many tables will be relocated to comply with these regulations and

avoid crowds

during the electoral act."

Quiodo also recalled that for these elections the figure of the health facilitator will be implemented, who will be a member of the General Electoral Command.

There are two government pages where the electoral roll can be consulted.

"This figure -according to him- will be in

charge of ordering the flow of people

entering and leaving the schools, since this time the lines will be made outside the voting establishments, and therefore from the DINE we

insist that people check where you vote

. "

Quiodo insisted that "

checking the

polling

place is essential

, and also that each voter find out and have the polling and order number written down in advance, in order to allow the facilitator to guide them quickly when they arrive at the establishment."

"The idea is to

avoid the confluence

of people who arrive, do not know what their table is and start to review the pasted patterns located outside the establishments. To avoid this, we

request a prior check

," he recommended.

During August, the National Electoral Chamber (CNE) promoted the Extraordinary Agreement No. 83/21, which established the regulations and

health protocols

that will govern this year's legislative elections, within the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic. .

Among other sanitary measures, it established

an increase in the number of voting centers

to avoid crowds.

Likewise, in other points the emphasis is placed on having around eight voting tables per establishment, which will make it go from the

14,800

voting

places

enabled during the 2019 presidential election to around

17,000 throughout the country

.
