Lenggries - The artists' association Lenggries (KVL) organizes the art week in Lenggries every year.

Last year, the club had to postpone the event to 2021 due to the corona pandemic.

This year the exhibition is to take place from Saturday, September 18th to Sunday, October 3rd, in the former casino of the Prinz-Heinrich-Kaserne in Lenggries.

The basic concept of the exhibition on the subject of "power plants" and the planned guest artists are taken over unchanged from the previous year.

"Due to the much larger space available in the canteen, however, we can present additional exhibits and formats," said the KVL board of directors with a view to the additional guest artists who were invited.

The artists Hermann Bieglmayr (wood sculptor, Murnau), Hannes Kinau (wood sculptor, Windach), Barbara Urban (felt objects, Bad Tölz), Birgit Haberl (photography, Sachsenkam), Heidi Willberg (painting, Munich) and a few others will be in the Exhibit rooms of the casino in the barracks.

"Each artist has his own room in which he can exhibit," explains sculptor Antonia Leitner, second KVL chairman, who will be offering her own exhibits at the art exhibition.

In addition to Leitner, the remaining members of the artists' association; Jürgen Dreistein, Sophie Frey, Ecki Kober, Veronika Partenhauser, Gabi Pöhlmann, Paul Schwarzenberger, Klas Stöver and KVL chairman Günter Unbescheid take part in the artist week. On Saturday, September 25th, the “Long Night of Art” will also be offered from 7 pm.
