- It was “an exciting day” for Markt Au, as Mayor Hans Sailer said on Monday afternoon: first came the flood, then came Aiwanger.
The strong man of the Free Voters came to Au to support the FW direct candidate Karl Ecker in the election campaign.
It was a "great honor" for him, said Hubert Aiwanger.
When Aiwanger gets out of his limousine, he likes to take the helm and direct.
Also on Monday: The participants in the meeting in the middle of Au - in addition to Ecker and Sailer, the two district administrators from Freising (Helmut Petz) and Pfaffenhofen (Albert Gürtner) as well as Member of the State Benno Zierer - were immediately taken for a photo with Aiwanger-appropriate Background set up, so with church.

Sailer then quickly brought Aiwanger back to the ground of political problems: he wanted to use the floods that had hit Markt Au in the morning hours to promote flood protection.
Because now people's memories are still fresh.
But the acquisition of land is often a big problem, and Sailer would like legal relief such as compensation options to solve it.
Issues with building law addressed
Karl Ecker, having returned to his 24-year-old position in the meeting room, added that this also applies to the property negotiations for the construction of cycle paths. And then there is the problem with the building law: The Au market has lost a lawsuit against the construction of an apartment building with seven apartments because the project was not allowed in the flood plain. And what had been inundated on the morning of this Monday? Exactly: this new building. The developer of the said property meanwhile rejects the criticism in a message to the Freisinger Tagblatt - and speaks of an almost intact building.
Aiwanger then turned the gaze towards the capital: The Free Voters did not want to go to Berlin in the Bundestag "because we are bored", but because they "want the best for our homeland".
That has already succeeded very well in the Free State - keyword: third runway, which today would “look completely different” without the FW.
After the appointment in the town hall, the entourage went to Josef and Sonja Wimmer's hop farm in Neuhub, where Aiwanger took part in threading the cutting machine and Wimmer agreed to support him in his plan to implement a pilot agro-PV system.
And then there was a serenade for Hubert Aiwanger: the “Holledauer Lied”, spontaneously voiced and performed by Karl Ecker and FW district chairman Maria Scharlach.
