The new project of the “Bichl Mit einer” initiative takes you on an entertaining and educational tour through the forest.

It's a novelty in several ways.

Bichl

- In Bichl there is a new project from “Bichl Together”: On the weekend from 10th to 12th September there will be a “Bichl Forest Path” for the first time.

On the basis of various hands-on and teaching stations, visitors learn some interesting facts about the local forest.

"Bichler Waldweg" comprises 25 stations on the subject of nature and creation

The path begins at the Bichler swimming pool and stretches for around two kilometers on the forest road, gently ascending into the Steinbachtal towards the Bichler Hütte.

Together with numerous helpers, many of them from the Bichler Frauenbund, the initiators Lilly Schöffmann and Christina Schmid have worked out 25 stations on the subject of forests, nature and creation.

At the end there is a family service.

The path is a novelty in two respects: On the one hand, it is the first action together with the women's association.

As reported, "Bichl Mit einer" has now become a subgroup there.

And on the other hand, the path is the Bichler contribution to the district-wide campaign “Nature conservation begins with you”.

What the people of Bichler are doing is again diverse and is aimed primarily at families. For example, children can guess which tree it is or how far animals can jump. A carpenter from Bichler made almost life-size formats of the local animal world for this, reports Christina Schmid. There is also a nature mandala and an elf house. "Along the whole way, children can always look for pixies," says Schmid. The individual stations are designed in such a way that they can be played on, played on and selected without instructions. There is also a small barefoot path. Parents can download handicraft instructions for a “forest treasure chest” from the “Bichl together” homepage. The guide will be available a few days before September 10th.

The “Bichler Waldweg” can be walked, cycled or visited with prams and handcarts.

Schmid and Schöffmann appeal to everyone not to leave the signposted forest path.

"Because the game and the vegetation should not be affected by the project," says Schmid.

That is why the project is relatively short.

“We don't want to disturb the forest work either.” The project was discussed and clarified in advance with forest owners, hunters and the Bavarian State Forests.

The State Forests and the Federal Environment Ministry provide information brochures.

“With the project we also want to point out the correct behavior in the forest,” says Schmid.

The “Bichler Waldweg” campaign ends with a family service

The "forest path" is organized in all weathers.

The two organizers hope that the family service organized by the Women's Association can be held on Sunday, September 12th at 10.30 a.m. in front of the Ludlmühle, after which there would be a cozy get-together there.

If it rains, the service is celebrated in the church.
