Expensive accident near Regensburg: almost 100,000 euros in damage after a failed overtaking maneuver

Pfaffenstein - On Monday (August 30th) there was an accident along the Pfaffenstein junction shortly after 7 p.m. A woman drove out of the Pfaffenstein tunnel with her car and wanted to overtake a bus, as reported by the Regensburg traffic police *. After this had left at the Pfaffenstein junction, the driver wanted to switch back to the right lane. Meanwhile, another car approached from behind. When the driver swerved to the left, his car skidded. The car hit the central barrier several times and then stopped. The car suffered a total loss of around 90,000 euros.

Pfaffenstein: Witnesses wanted after a traffic accident  

The 55-year-old driver suffered no injuries.

After the accident, the tunnel in the direction of Munich was closed by the fire brigade, which resulted in a massive backlog at short notice.

The police are now looking for witnesses to the traffic accident.

They are asked to contact the Regensburg traffic police station on (0941) 5 06 29 21.
