The stimulus measures to support French exports will be extended by six months and some strengthened, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade Franck Riester announced on Wednesday.

We must still accelerate to find, and even exceed tomorrow, our level of exports before the crisis,
" Franck Riester told AFP.

France's trade deficit amounted to 65.2 billion euros in 2020 and widened further to 34.8 billion in the first half of 2021, against 32.6 billion in the previous half.
Companies "
will be able to rely on the export component of France Relance until June 30, 2022, which we are developing to respond even more effectively to the needs they have communicated to us
", he added.
Reinforced digital tools
Among the measures presented to the Strategic Export Council held on Wednesday, the extension until June 2022 of export stimulus checks, which notably help companies to participate in trade fairs abroad or to translate documentations, explained Franck Riester on BFM Business.
The budget for these checks, however, remains unchanged at 60.7 million euros, specifies the ministry.
Digital tools to strengthen the presence of French companies on foreign sales platforms will be strengthened, in particular through online promotion, for 400,000 euros, of wines and spirits, cosmetics and the food industry.

The ministry also wants to double, from 5,000 to 10,000 euros, the amount of the international voluntary work in business (VIE) stimulus check for young people from priority areas of the city (QPV, disadvantaged areas), within the limit of an envelope of one million Euros.
