Homs firefighters put out this evening a fire that broke out in a sawmill on Bab Dreib Road in the city of Homs.
The commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, Brigadier General Hassan Ammar, told SANA reporter that the regiment's operations room received a distress call about a fire in a sawmill on Bab Dreib Road near the telephone exchange of Wadi al-Dahab neighborhood, and immediately the elements moved to the place and began to deal with the event.
Ammar pointed out that the thick smoke and the difficulty of the place led to the injury of two members in a case of suffocation, who were taken to the hospital, and the support of the Civil Defense was requested, and the fire was brought under control, extinguished and cooling operations were carried out, noting that the damage was limited to material.
