Iraqi forces thwarted an attempt by terrorists to blow up an electric power transmission tower in Babil province, south of the capital, Baghdad.
Alsumaria News quoted the Security Media Cell as saying in a statement that, according to accurate intelligence and field follow-up, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior managed to thwart an attempt to detonate an electric power tower by using four explosive devices that were placed on the tower’s pillars in the Alexandria district of Babil Governorate. Dismantle them from the concerned authorities.
Earlier, Iraqi forces thwarted a terrorist attempt to blow up an electric power tower in Anbar province, west of the country.
