Hausham - The Social Advisory Board recently decided in Hausham on grants for Caritas, BRK, Diakonie and other initiatives in the Miesbach district.

The budget of the district of Miesbach to subsidize social organizations and associations in 2021 is 312,100 euros.

In their most recent meeting in the Alpengasthof Glück Auf in Hausham, the social advisory council discussed how this sum should be distributed.

Eight organizations have applied for funding for 2021, explained Paul Röpfl, head of the social welfare office.

A total of 13 projects and measures are to be subsidized.

All facilities had already been funded in 2020, he said.

The requested sum includes 357,076 euros.

The budget therefore corresponds to around 87.4 percent of the application volume.

Positive development in grants

Although the subsidies applied for cannot be granted in full, there is still a positive development, explained Röpfl.

Since 2017, the respective ratio between the application amount and the budget set has improved by over 16 percent.

While the actual subsidies in 2017 were 71.2 percent, the following year it was already 75.6 percent.

In 2019, 78 percent of the costs were covered, and in 2020 around 86.7 percent.

For the distribution of the money, the administration recommends, as in previous years, a linear reduction in the application sums, said Röpfl.

These initiatives receive money:

  • This means that the PIA (Pact for Integration and Work) support association receives 15,733 euros for integration work and related projects.

At the same time, the registry changes.

The 9,000 euros that the association received in 2020 had been requested from the district treasury and flowed from their budget.

  • Four measures by the Caritas Center Miesbach were also approved. The general social counseling center receives around 32,340 euros. The Caritas mobile social service has not submitted an application due to the coronavirus. In 2020, the district granted around 24,270 euros in grants. Caritas Miesbach will receive 71,515 euros in 2021 for debt counseling and debt prevention. An application made for the first time for the professionalization of nursing and care workers in the amount of 25,000 euros was withdrawn again - probably also due to the situation.

  • The district association of the Bavarian Red Cross is also receiving support.

The district subsidizes the care of people in special situations with 14,334 euros.

The money also benefits the BRK food banks and clothing stores as well as mother-child cures.

79,010 euros will go to the specialist office for caring relatives.

The care group for dementia patients receives 22,460 euros.

  • The Diakonie Tegernseer Tal receives almost 30,000 euros in day care for people with dementia.

The district supports the association with around 26,000 euros for the Gmunder table and clothes room, courses for senior citizens, care courses, as well as visiting services and other social assistance offers.

  • The telephone pastoral care of the Diakonisches Werk Rosenheim is funded with 2,700 euros, the domestic violence department with 2,185 euros.

  • 1,311 euros are donated to the women's advice center of the Diakonievereins Oberland.

  • The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Frauenhilfe receives 533 euros for looking after women and children in problematic situations.

  • The Miesbach branch of the Rosenheim women's and girls' emergency number is funded with 14,050 euros.

The committee unanimously approved the proposed resolution for distribution.
