The activities of the City Nights Festival, organized by the Aleppo Governorate and the Syrian Trust for Development, concluded this evening in the Khan al-Harir market in Aleppo with an art exhibition in which five plastic artists participated and included 38 paintings dealing with the ancient and urban folklore of the Aleppo community in Khan al-Balabaa Square.

Hala Mahrousa, Executive Assistant to the Director of the Syrian Trust for Development, told SANA reporter that the main idea of ​​holding the exhibition is to shed light on the culture and talents contained in the city of Aleppo and revitalize the old markets of Aleppo, which were recently restored, and to attract visitors to visit it and learn about its activities.

SANA Camera met with a number of plastic artists, where Ola Ajili explained that she used the technique of engraving and printing in drawing her paintings that embody the eastern environment through the use of single color and its gradations as a result of being affected by the urban character of the city of Aleppo.

She added that the display of paintings in the khan formed a real homogeneity between the archaeological site and the artistic painting.

Salah Al-Khalidi, a "plastic artist", indicated that he participated in a number of paintings that express the archaeological sites in Aleppo and the ancient folklore, with the aim of reviving the old markets and places in the city of Aleppo, which were destroyed by terrorism.

The plastic artist Ayman Al-Affandi also expressed his happiness to display his paintings in an archaeological place that embodies the true relationship between art and Aleppo and its civilization that bears the meanings of love, adding: He adopted the technique of absolute realism through the use of oil colors and the addition of the Indian yellow color in a number of them to express the radiance and joy of life. in the city.

A number of visitors to the exhibition expressed their happiness at its stay in Khan Al Harir Market, which is a harmony between the past and the ancient Aleppine heritage through the use of abstract art techniques, knife and acrylic.
