The coach of the national team, Nizar Mahrous, said that the camp did not reach the ideal level because it was not possible to join a number of players and injure a number of others, but that it witnessed intensive training. It included 43 players and was reduced to 33 players at its conclusion.
Our team plays in the first group, in which the Emirates, South Korea, Iraq and Lebanon are also competing, while the second group includes Japan, Saudi Arabia, China, Oman, Australia and Vietnam.
The first and second teams from each group qualify directly for the 2022 World Cup, while the two third-placed teams in the Asian play-off meet to determine the team that qualifies for the world play-off.
