The authorities of the Turkish regime issued arrest warrants for 40 people on the pretext of their association with the organization of the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom the authorities of this regime accuse of being responsible for the 2016 coup.
The Turkish newspaper, Zaman, stated that the authorities issued arrest warrants for 5 civilians and 35 soldiers, including 23 soldiers on active duty, 7 at the rank of officer, and 16 at the rank of non-commissioned officer, as part of a security campaign centered in Istanbul, where the anti-terror police arrested 32 of them so far during raids on their homes and the search is underway for the rest.
Since the coup attempt, the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has launched a campaign of arrests and dismissals of all public sectors, which led to the arrest of tens of thousands of opponents and the dismissal or suspension of work of about 150,000 government employees, members of the army, police, judiciary, media and others.
