Marktoberdorf - Residents heard strange noises from the ground floor of the house and actually arrested a burglar there.

As the police report, his accomplice first fled, but then surrendered to the Marktoberdorf officials.

Both teenagers were heavily drunk when they first got into the business.

On Tuesday evening around 9 p.m., attentive residents of a residential building with a retail store on the ground floor heard unusual noises in Schützenstrasse.

Several brothers then ran downstairs and were initially able to catch a burglar in the act.

The 16-year-old suspect lashed out wildly and injured one of the brothers.

Nevertheless, they were able to hold him until the police arrived.

The other suspect, a 15-year-old teenager, was initially able to run away.

However, he turned himself in when he heard that his friend was being held.

According to the police, both young people were heavily drunk.

As the previous investigations showed, they had already been hanging around the shop in the afternoon.

In the evening they pried open a tilted window that they used to climb into the shop.

They took a small amount of money from the cash register, and they also stole food and alcoholic beverages.

The total damage is around 500 euros.

The officials handed the youth over to their parents.
