The “Long Night of Democracy 2021” is also headed with this question.

One year late due to the pandemic, the Bavaria-wide campaign will take place on October 2nd.

Freising is there - with a colorful program and numerous actors.

Over 30 municipalities in Bavaria take part in the “Long Night of Democracy” (LNdD) run by the Bavarian Value Alliance and the Network for Political Education.

The planning was carried out under the leadership of Johanna Sticksel and Marita Hanold from the meeting point honorary office.

“The past few months have been time-consuming because we had to coordinate around 20 local institutions and organizations for the colorful evening in the city center,” reports Sticksel.

Events at 15 venues - from theater to pub quizzes

The results are impressive: events of all genres will take place at 15 venues - from theater to discussion rounds, city tours, a pub quiz and readings to creative offers.

"Everything is aimed at making people even more aware of the value of democracy, encouraging them to grapple with the topic and discovering new aspects - and doing so with joy and fun," explains Sticksel.
