The 26 trainees have 2100 theoretical and 2500 practical lessons before they graduate in three years.

This marks the start of the second year to become a nurse at the Dachau / Munich training center. In this training, the previous vocational training in geriatric care, health and nursing and health and children's nursing were merged into a generalist one. The varied program includes scientific content in the nursing area, seminars on nursing concepts and assignments in inpatient and outpatient areas.

Theoretical lessons take place at the Dachau / Munich education center, the practical training is done by the students in the clinics in Dachau and Indersdorf, in Munich-West or Munich-Perlach. Of the 26 trainees, 15 are employed on the wards of the Amper clinics, ten of them complete their practical hours at the Helios Clinic in Munich-West, one in Perlach.

The rules of the hygiene concept in the course of the corona pandemic apply to all of them. The measures are continuously adapted to the current situation and the respective government regulations. All students must bring a current test certificate with them on their first day, and they are also tested several times a week. In addition, the training center offers all trainees a Covid-19 vaccination on a voluntary basis. A medical mask must be worn in the classroom. In addition to regular ventilation, there are CO2 sensors that all classrooms have been equipped with. These CO2 traffic lights use yellow or red displays to warn of too much carbon dioxide in the air and thus of too many aerosols. The training center is set up for distance and alternating courses.
