BGI, which has repeatedly contaminated samples in the laboratory, has been approved by the government to "unblock" it and will resume providing community testing services from September.

Tonight (2nd), China Gene Development expressed that it welcomes the authority to approve the continued operation of the community testing center and mobile sampling station. We also thank Zeng Haohui, the former director of the Health Protection Center, and Lin Weiling, the former director of the Public Health Laboratory Service Other experts were invited to make independent audits and provide opinions for the laboratory process.

BGI has repeatedly encountered detection error incidents earlier, and there have been many "false positive" cases.

The government invited Yuan Guoyong, the chair professor of the Department of Microbiology of Hong Kong, to conduct an investigation, and commissioned the Quality Assurance Bureau to conduct a third audit of the Group's laboratory. The relevant work was completed earlier.

In addition, BGI also invited Zeng Haohui, the former director of the Health Protection Center, and Lin Weiling, the former director of the Public Health Laboratory Service, to conduct an independent review of the laboratory's procedures, and they all provided suggestions for improvement.

According to Yuan Guoyong's opinion, the relevant case is probably related to the contamination of the pipette tube when the laboratory staff took samples.

After the pipette touched the positive sample, when other samples were taken, the sample was contaminated, resulting in "false positive" results.

BGI invited Haohui Zeng and Weiling Lin to conduct an independent review of the laboratory's procedures, and they also provided suggestions for improvement.
