The Fuel Committee in Lattakia Governorate has set the allocations for the governmental beach fuel station in Lattakia with one request per day and canceling the travel allocations therein to distribute them to the rest of the stations spread on the Lattakia-Tartous highway back and forth and within the city of Lattakia.

The director of the Sinan Petrol Company's branch in Badour explained to SANA reporter that this measure came with the aim of reducing overcrowding at the Shati petrol station due to the citizens' confidence in it and in order to perform the best service, given that the station has only 6 pumps.

Bodour indicated that according to the committee's decision, travel allowances at the station will be canceled, while travel allowances at the gas stations covered by the decision will be limited to 2 percent of the demand instead of one percent, which provides the material with a greater geographical spread and reduces congestion.

And he indicated that the committee decided to stop supplying 3 fuel stations, namely “Al-Kawakib, the Hunter and the Crown” with the substance as a result of violations committed by it after the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection seized it with violations of reserve disposal and the shortage of the fuel pump.

Bodour pointed out that the committee agreed to start providing schools with heating oil according to the needs of each school and the same mechanism that was followed last year, noting that priority was given to distributing diesel to the agricultural sector and securing its requirements in addition to the needs of firefighting and forestry vehicles in the field of fighting forest fires.

The committee discussed the needs of olive presses for diesel, and decided to supply the licensed ones and the old stone presses as of the first of next October, and not to supply the unlicensed presses.
