A particularly disturbing video has been running on the net for the past day.
The video, originally published in Tiktok, shows a female soldier at an unknown base or post, waving a large Palestinian flag with Arabic music in the background.
The IDF does not currently know who the fighter is, but takes the matter seriously.
It is not clear what led the female soldier to wave the Palestinian flag and upload such a video to Tiktok, which severely harms Israeli propaganda.
An investigation into the source of the video has led to a number of groups and users of Tiktok, some of whom regularly share content of fighters.
It is very possible that this is an act of mischief, because in recent months the ticking has become a fertile ground for soldiers who want to post funny videos.
In the past, other armies decided to ban soldiers from using the social network, but the IDF approved their continued use without interruption.
On the Internet, however, they were outraged at the shameful video that is being played directly to Israeli opponents.
"All the Arabs are celebrating this video," wrote a surfer named Yedidya Epstein who posted the video on Twitter.
"To catch the female soldier and throw her from the IDF to prison - a traitor."
