The future of the leading Hanukkah show in Israel is in doubt due to the high morbidity data • "At this rate it is impossible to know", Israel Today was told

The production of the Festigal show has been suspended, Israel Today has learned.

After last year being forced to produce a filmed show, this year’s production of the show is questionable due to the high morbidity figures.

The successful Hanukkah show in Israel traditionally takes place in large halls and is less suitable for the open air due to the weather at this time of year.

The 2021 Festigal is scheduled to feature some of the biggest stars in Israel, including Noa Kirl, Ran Danker, Eliana Tidhar, Zehava Ben, Eliad Nahum, Shachar Tabuch, Kevin Rubin, Eden Elena, Static and Ben-El Tavori, Kim Or Azulai and more.

"Right now there is a lot of uncertainty," says a source in the production for Israel Today regarding the chances of the show taking place as planned.

"On the one hand, the preparations are already in full swing and with a large investment, and on the other hand, at this rate of illness, it is impossible to know anything."

The production of the festival was responded to: "The production of the festival continues with preparations for the shows while following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. We hope and believe that the festival will take place in its normal format and that we can bring joy and pleasure to all Israeli children and families."
