The Ofakim Municipality yesterday distributed a message to its residents, according to which a team of volunteers will come to the homes of residents who are in isolation because they are positive about Corona or who have been exposed to a verified person, and who do not want to miss the sound of the shofar on Rosh Hashanah.
The volunteer team consists of city residents from all sectors, and the only requirement to join it is to know how to blow the shofar.

Social activist Israel Revach, a city resident in charge of the project alongside Mickey Fried, told Israel Today that there are currently ten volunteers on the team.
"The beautiful response to a similar project we had last year made us decide to do it this year as well," he said.
"This is a fruitful and exciting collaboration that takes place on various topics throughout the year to spread good."
The mayor of Ofakim, Itzik Danino, congratulated the project: "We will make the command to hear the sound of the shofar accessible to any verified or isolated resident who wishes to do so."
