Kia unveils the European version of the Sportage. An entirely new generation, with diverse propulsion systems that will arrive here during the first quarter of 2022

Almost three decades have passed since Saki introduced the first Sportage.

Since Kia is no longer the same Kia and depending on the Sportage is also a completely different product.

This new one, which shares a platform with the new Tucson, takes another step forward with an extroverted design, lots of technology and quite diverse propulsion systems.

The sportage shown here in the photos is the European one, which looks quite similar to the American one shown a bit before it.

The difference is in the dimensions, with the European version smaller than the one intended for the United States.

The European Sportage, which will also come to us, is showing growth in dimensions compared to the outgoing generation and should, according to Kia, offer an improved living space for passengers.

The Sportage will arrive in Israel with a variety of propulsion units, with the bulk of the news being hybrid and plug-in versions.

They will also be accompanied by petrol (perhaps with the addition of a light hybrid system) and even diesel.

The range of engines will offer power transmission between 136 and 265 hp, with full details about the capacity and range have not yet been revealed.

Another technological leap can be found in the cabin with an array of screens that looks quite impressive in photos, software updates via the cloud and more.

The list of unique additions here goes on to indicate adaptive suspensions that are not exactly common in the category and also a dedicated driving mode for the terrain.

Alongside these is an arsenal of advanced safety systems including a system for collision prevention at intersections, collision prevention, lane center maintenance, adaptive cruise control adjustment for traffic signs and more.

The new Sportage will arrive in Israel at the end of the first quarter of 2022.
