The newly introduced traffic light is intended to show the occupancy rate in hospitals.
There are two warning levels: yellow and red.
The hospital traffic light turns yellow if more than 1200 patients with corona disease had to be admitted to hospitals across Bavaria within seven days.
Whether normal ward or intensive care ward does not matter.
Should this warning level be reached, stricter measures can be adopted, including a return to the FFP2 mask requirement or contact restrictions.
The traffic light turns red when more than 600 Covid patients are in Bavarian intensive care units - then the measures should be tightened again.
