Nuremberg - A 67-year-old is said to have shot his wife and an acquaintance on the street in Nuremberg.
Now the public prosecutor has charged him with two counts of murder.
The investigators therefore assume that the man wrongly suspected a love affair between his wife, who had been separated from him for years, and the acquaintance.

Out of jealousy and anger, he is said to have shot both of them with a pistol in the Gebersdorf district on November 21 last year.

The defendant himself had a relationship with another woman.
However, he was convinced that his wife was not allowed to do this.
On the day of the incident, the 67-year-old got into the friend's taxi and asked for a ride to the house of his 63-year-old wife.
There a violent argument developed between the three.
According to this, the man is said to have first shot his wife in the head from behind with the gun and then the 62-year-old acquaintance sitting in the taxi.

According to the prosecutor, the 67-year-old admitted the murders to witnesses at the scene.
In the course of the investigation, however, he no longer provided any information about the allegations.
The defendant is on remand.
The jury chamber of the Nuremberg-Fürth regional court now has to decide whether to allow the indictment to take place in the main hearing.
