In an attempt to empty the area of ​​its residents and bring about a demographic change, the Turkish occupation forces and the terrorist groups associated with it continue to bombard safe areas in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hasaka, which led, during the past two weeks, to the death of martyrs and significant material damage to property and infrastructure in the area.

With the continuation of the Turkish occupation’s aggression and its indiscriminate bombardment, the people of the rural areas and villages of Tel Tamer, Abu Rasin, and Zarkan did not find any alternative to fleeing from their homes in light of direct targeting by artillery, drones, etc., and resorting to temporary shelter centers in some of the safe cities and areas of the governorate.

The many stories of suffering told by the displaced families to bring back to mind the scene and chapters of the Turkish aggression that invaded the city of Ras al-Ain two years ago and expelled its people and seized their homes and properties for the residence of its mercenaries and terrorists, some of whom were of foreign nationalities.

Mahmoud Hamid, the displaced person from the village of al-Abush in Abu Rasin district, talks to a SANA reporter about how artillery shells targeted everyone who moved in his village and the dangerous conditions that accompanied his departure, his family and his seven children during the bombing in search of any safe place to shelter, and he sought refuge in one of the temporary shelters, where he hardly got out. The people without carrying any belongings with them, pointing to the need to intensify efforts to secure their food, non-food, health, water and accommodation needs.

Mrs. Maryam, a mother of three sons and a girl who were displaced from the Zarkan area, talks about how she slept with her children in a nearby field for three days with high temperatures during the day and cold at night to secure a way out of the area targeted by the occupation’s missiles and artillery.

As for the young Suleiman from the Abu Rasin area, he points out that he went through the trouble of walking with his family for long distances to get out of the targeting areas, as the occupation’s drones target every vehicle that crosses the area, stressing that the Turkish occupation targets innocent citizens with the aim of forcing them to leave their homes and properties to make it easier for him to carry out a new attack and seize On new areas in the western and northwestern countryside of the governorate.

Since the beginning of the displacement of people to shelter centers in the city of Al-Hasakah, the Relief Sub-Committee has not stopped providing the displaced families’ needs in terms of food, non-food items and health care. The charity provided food baskets for the displaced families, in addition to bread and mineral water, and running medical teams to provide health care in the shelters, and relief efforts are continuing with the aim of securing the families' needs and alleviating them.
