“We said to ourselves that it would be good to have a mobile device to go to colleges but also nursing homes, independent residences, etc.

», Explains Rachid Adda, director of digital Val-d'Oise, which depends on the departmental council.

It is this mixed union which controls the Micro-follies in the Val-d'Oise and which acquired that of the Jacques-Yves-Cousteau college for around 100,000 euros.

"We arrive in this room and there you can discover the works on the shelves", explains Julien Chevalier, operational manager of Micro-follies for the Parc de la Villette.

For the demonstration, the Mona Lisa is displayed.

The tablets are installed on tripods with headphones available while a large screen broadcasts the portrait of Mona Lisa.

Everyone can go browsing to discover the details of a work.

A group-friendly module allows one person to take the lead, which is well suited to school groups.

Leonardo Da Vinci's painting is not the only accessible work.

More than 5,000 works from the largest cultural establishments (the Louvre, the Orsay Museum, or the Palace of Versailles) are in the catalog.

But the heritage of Val-d'Oise will also soon be represented.

“In the Roissy-Pays-de-France agglomeration community, there is a project to digitize religious heritage, also with the Archéa collections, to pay them to the Micro-follies”, underlines Rachid Adda.

Micro-folie also has virtual reality headsets.

This type of immersive experience is very useful for the elderly.

A game library completes the system.

An educational kit for teachers

Micro-folie also has a FabLab.

It is a set of equipment (3D printer, printing on fabric, sewing machine, milling machine, film cutter, etc.) that allow objects to be produced.

“In nursing homes, we will be able to work on the creation of signage tools to improve autonomy,” explains Valérie Gautier, from the Ze Fab Truck company, which will support the audiences of Micro-madness.

In colleges, we will be on the discovery of digital professions.

"

It can be used for artistic, scientific or artistic projects.

Staff are made available and an educational kit is provided for teachers to use.

"After three hours of training, anyone can make it their own," says Rachid Adda.

After spending a few days at the college in Méry-sur-Oise, Micro-folie will be able to travel.

Schools can contact the departmental council to welcome them.

It is planned to bring it to 35 independent homes and a nursing home.

Rural communities have also come forward to bring Micro-madness to their homes.

Hérouville-en-Vexin will be the first to receive it.

It is also planned that it will be offered as a back-up in municipalities where there is already one, for neighborhood houses or social centers, for example.
