Dachau - final spurt of the election campaign in Germany, the candidates give everything again.

The Dachauer Nachrichten makes the big comparison of candidates to the federal election.

We confront the top candidates with questions that really interest you, dear readers!

There is a general election on September 26th.

So that you can get an overview of the positions of the parties, we want to give you the opportunity to put your questions directly to the top candidates of the parties who have the best chance of moving into the Bundestag.

For the district of Dachau these are: Katrin Staffler (CSU), Michael Schrodi (SPD), Beate Walter-Rosenheimer (Greens), Florian Jäger (AfD), Ulrich Bode (FDP), Ernestine Martin-Köppl (Die Linke) and Susanne Droth (Free voters).

You can address your questions to one or more candidates - just as you wish.

We will then ask candidates to answer all of your questions in Twitter format.

That means: The candidates have 280 characters available for the answer, so they are forced to get to the point quickly without talking for a long time.

Your questions can relate to small problems in the district up to large nationwide topics - whatever interests you, dear readers.

We ask that elected officials and candidates not send any questions.

Send us your questions with your name and place of residence by Thursday, September 9th, we will forward them to the candidates and publish the answers in our newspaper.

Hopefully this will give you an overview of the things that are important to you when making your choice.
