Missile fragments were found this morning (Friday) in the yard of houses in Kfar Shalem in Tel Aviv, after an IDF missile at night detected the launch of an anti-aircraft missile from Syrian territory to Israel, which exploded over the sea.
Also at night, residents of the Gush Dan and Sharon area reported echoes of powerful explosions.
Residents of the neighborhood in the south of the city were told that a police sapper was working at the scene, and that the grass area in the yard should not be approached at this stage.
The launch of the Syrian missile came shortly after the official television network in Syria reported that the country’s air defense systems were activated after an air strike in the Damascus area.
A Syrian military source also said that the defense systems had successfully intercepted most of the missiles "fired by the Israeli enemy from the direction of Beirut."

The reports of the attack at night came after the Syrian media reported about two weeks ago that the Israeli Air Force attacked in the Damascus area, and in response the air defense systems were activated.
Two days earlier, the Syrian media reported that Israel had attacked a Hezbollah post in the Kuntira area.
It was also said that IDF forces fired missiles at the organization's post, which is used by Hezbollah operatives and Iranian forces in the Golan Heights.
