Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzhoyan his country's keenness on developing joint cooperation relations with Syria in all fields reiterated Armenia's support for the unity and sovereignty of Syria's land and people.
During his meeting today with Syria's Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia, Muhammad Haj Ibrahim, and the attache at the embassy, Ahmed Al-Athba, Mirzoyan said: Armenia highly values the long-standing historical relations with Syria, and we follow the situation in Syria and support Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and this is our position and has not changed.
The Foreign Minister of Armenia indicated his country's aspiration to revitalize the economic ties between the two countries.
In turn, Ambassador Haj Ibrahim expressed his thanks for the position of the government and people of Armenia and its support for Syria throughout the period of the terrorist war against it, wishing progress and prosperity for Armenia and its people and success for its new government in achieving its goals.
